Social Grader - Console application

Integrate with Linux / Unix survey applications

Social Grader Console provides occupation look-up functionality for applications running on any operating system. Typically, Social Grader Console is used by market research agencies using SPSS or legacy software, although it can equally run on Microsoft Windows.

Like all version of Social Grader, Grader Console is based on the Market Research Society's publication 'Occupational Groupings - A Job Dictionary' and returns a respondent's Social Grade (A, B, C1, C2, D, E).

Grader 2.0 contains the following key features:
  • Optimized to reduce time spent classifying a respondent's social grade (reducing interview length)
  • Fully configurable to adapt to your organisation's business process
  • Facility to 'clean' the search criteria, remove typos and automatically match failed searches with known occupations
  • Complex natural language search algorithm.

Grader is available for a fee of £35 per seat per annum + VAT.  For more information please contact us at
